Purus Wetroom Former Trays for Round Floor Gullies & Linear Drainage Channels

Purus Limited, the manufacturer of linear drainage and level-access floor gullies for wetrooms, also supply a wide range of wetroom former trays for their round Mini Series floor gullies and their linear drainage channels for tiled and vinyl floors. Purus have three types of wetroom floor formers available: Self-Supporting Wetroom Former Trays for their round floor gullies; Centre Linear Former Trays for their Purusline Living linear channels; and Linear Self-Supporting Wetroom Former Trays for their Purusline Living and Purusline Living Plus linear channels. Each type of former tray comes in multiple sizes.

Purus’ Self-Supporting Wetroom Former Trays can be installed with tiled or vinyl floor finishes and on either concrete or wooden joist floor build-ups. The trays are load-bearing up to 470kg, and when fitting with wooden joists, they can be installed directly on top of the joists with perimeter supports. For the round gully Self-Supporting Wetroom Former Trays, the outlet holes are positioned off-centre to allow you to avoid any existing wooden joists; whilst for the Linear Self-Supporting Wetroom Former Trays, there are options for either central or off-centre outlet positions.

The Centre Linear Former Trays for the Purusline Living are for tiled floors only and can be installed on either concrete or wooden joists. When fitting on wooden joists, these trays must be installed on top of the floorboards, following the installation instructions and installation video on Purus’ website. The outlets are positioned in the centre of the Centre Linear Former Trays. All former trays can be cut to size, as long as 200mm is left around each edge of the outlet hole.

Tiled wetroom floors must be tanked. Purus recommend the Puragum Tanking Kit, which is their waterproofing system for use with tiled floor finishes. Each tanking kit covers an area of 8m².
