TheisCraft - Epworth House

TheisCraft Lighting Controls has played a key role in the refurbishment of Epworth House in London EC1 with the provision of a versatile lighting system that optimises energy efficiency on all floors and emergency monitoring throughout the building, along with stand-alone Emergency Lighting for the stairwell and core areas.

Epworth House occupies a prominent corner site at the heart of Shoreditch, an area which is home to the third largest cluster of tech and web companies in the world. The £11M Cat A refurbishment project involved the substantial refurbishment and reconstruction of 3 separate buildings dating from c.1934 when the Art Deco corner building was constructed and merged with 2 adjacent buildings. The original 1930s art deco exterior will be preserved and the interior modernised to provide 65,000 sq. ft. of office space tailored to suit the needs of SMEs.

The lighting management system was required to meet a range of criteria, including optimising the energy performance of the lighting, integrating the management of general and emergency lighting and providing the flexibility to control individual luminaires. To meet these requirements, TheisCraft provided a DALI Lighting Control system with Head End pc on all floors that has maximised energy management through a range of control strategies, including scene setting and daylight harvesting, whilst delivering maximum flexibility. TheisCraft has also installed Emergency Monitoring throughout the building.
